for forgotten stories and songs, myth and legend, as told by first hand accounts of the pioneer families who call it home.

We also celebrate, and support, every effort to protect and preserve the Florida everglades and its magnificent wildlife habitat, for generations to come.

Swamp blues can be found particularly in the South East US

but Florida has its distinctive signature. 

Strong percussive rhythms, legendary growling, soulful singing, and a no-frills-just-blues approach everybody loves.

From Tampa Red to Ida Goodson, from Gabriel Brown to Johnny Bassets, from Mississipi John Hurt, to Willie Dixon 

and Ray Charles and every single bayou in between,
